Tilting Axis + NAGB Partnership

The core administration of Tilting Axis is happy to announce that The National Art Gallery of The Bahamas (NAGB)—in preparation for the institution welcoming and hosting the 6th iteration in 2020—has become an associate partner institution in support of the annual roving cultural initiative.

Starting in 2018, the National Art Gallery of The Bahamas will support a travel grant to support the attendance of a Bahamian art professional. This year, Chief Curator of the NAGB, Holly Bynoe–who is also co-founder of the initiative–will be supported during her attendance at the 4-day meeting in the Dominican Republic.

In the coming years leading up to the event being hosted in The Bahamas, the NAGB also pledges to continue to support the initiative with a $1,500 grant to underwrite the cost of travel and accommodation for a Bahamian to attend the annual meeting.

The application process will be open to art historians, cultural workers, artists and curators.
